Director of Marketing
SWITCHBACK STUDIO started from Ms. Talbot’s passion for helping clients navigate the changing world of media and stories over the past 23 years. Ms. Talbot leads strategic planning for all clients under the Switchback Studio umbrellas to ensure seamlessly integrated campaigns and ensuring results for each client.
Having worked in marketing with a primary focus on destination travel, food and beverage, sports and outdoors, lifestyle and real estate and development, her career has spanned the ski industry business and marketing and public relations agency work for a variety of national, regional and local clients.
Ms. Talbot has owned and operated Switchback PR + Marketing, Inc. agency for 14+ years which she re-branded and relaunched in 2017 as Switchback Studio.
She has enjoyed working with diverse clients including Ski Lake Tahoe, East West Partners, Lahontan, Intrawest – The Village at Squaw Valley, DMB Highlands Group, Squaw Valley U.S.A., Alpine Meadows Ski Resort, Ruby Mountain Helicopter Operations, Red Bull Snowthrill of Alaska, the Sea Otter Classic bike event, The New Sheridan Hotel in Telluride, Port Ludlow Resort in Seattle, Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA), Tahoe Restaurant Group, Chase International (corporate marketing), Sierra Sotheby's International (corporate marketing) to name a few.
Recruited in 2012 by Tahoe Donner Association, Ms. Talbot served as the Director of Marketing and Member Services for the association representing over 25,000 members and nearly 6,500 properties.
Ms. Talbot’s extensive non-profit work currently includes 16+ years in The Rotary Club of Truckee (past president in 2010) and currently resides on the board of directors for the Truckee Community Theater.
Brinn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Master of Arts in Journalism.
Mr. Moore is passionate about helping organizations develop creative ways to further engage their markets. For over 10 years, he’s led effective marketing, PR and social media programs for leading enterprise tech companies and consumer brands resulting in brand awareness, earned media, public engagement, and profitability.
His professional tenure combines both “in-house,” agency, and consulting experience – working in a wide range of industries including media, technology, outdoor lifestyle and hospitality. Previous clients and employers include Tahoe Donner Association, Wolfdale’s, Tahoe Action Watersports, Samsung, Adobe, eBAy, Ghirardelli Chocolates, Greyhound, Globalstar Inc., SPOT GPS Messenger, Brita™ and Squaw Valley USA.
Mr. Moore loves outdoor adventure, compelling content, new technologies and all things West Coast.
Ms. Sproehnle, a lifelong resident of North Lake Tahoe, began her career in graphic design while a journalism student at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Instrumental in the marketing staff at the Resort at Squaw Creek, she was involved in the image-building and positioning activities of the property during the pre-opening and grand opening of the resort.
She formed her own design and marketing company in 1999 and worked in this capacity for many Tahoe and Truckee clients before joining the team at Switchback to become creative director in 2008.
Since 2013 she has served as the marketing communications manager at Tahoe Donner Association, overseeing all marketing efforts for the association including member communication as well as all creative initiatives.
Gretchen is focused on creating attention-grabbing campaigns for a multitude of the agency’s clients. Her diverse portfolio runs the gamut from developing logos, brand identities, collateral, billboards, print ads, and so much more. She enjoys volunteering her time toward community efforts, and with a passion for education, she served on the board of directors for the Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundation for nearly ten years.
